We are seeking motorcycle instructors who can work effectively with trainees of varying skill levels, and who can communicate material in a way that is engaging and effective.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator and motorcyclist with extensive knowledge of the subject matter being taught. To be considered as an instructor, it is also necessary to be able to teach in a manner that meets the unique needs of trainees with different learning styles.
You will be:
Testing trainees’ eyesight by asking them to read car number plate.
In a classroom, explaining the aims of the training course, the correct clothing to wear for safety (such as boots, helmet, high visibility jackets, leathers and waterproofs) and other equipment required.
You will be covering the legal aspects of riding a motorcycle, Highway Code theory and regulations, and safety procedures.
You will explain how the motorcycle works, the controls and how to handle and balance the motorcycle.
Explaining to the trainee how to carry out basic checks on the motorcycle.
Showing the trainee how to control the motorcycle, such as clutch control, pulling away, and basic manoeuvres such as, turning in the road or emergency stops.
Going out on the road with the trainees, showing how to safely approach junctions, crossroads, roundabouts and pedestrian crossings.
Taking out either single riders or groups of 2 riders on to the road for a period of 2 hours.
When working in a training centre, teaching other instructors how to teach compulsory basic training. (When required).
You may work varied hours, dependent on how the training day goes, usually an 8-hour day.
You will spend your time between teaching in a classroom, training ground and out on the road with trainees.
You will be teaching people who may be nervous and require reassurance. You will be riding in all weathers with trainees, to teach them how to ride safely in these conditions.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Someone happy to down train instructors
- Adaptable
- Knowledge of basic motorcycle maintenance
- Patient with learners
- You must have or be willing to have a DBS check completed.
Essential Requirements:
- CBT1 qualified
- Use of own motorcycle for instructing
- Minimum of 3 years A2 or A Licence

You will be riding in all weathers (we cancel if the weather will be a danger to you or the clients).
The Ideal Candidate:

- You must have or be willing to have a DBS check completed
